| Obverse description | Stylized horseman advancing to the right, rendered in the debased Nagari tradition inherited from earlier Hindu Shahi coinage. A star or pellet appears below the horse. The Nagari legend 'Sri Hamirah' (a Sanskritized rendering of 'Amir') is inscribed above the rider, serving as a bilingual acknowledgment of the sultan's authority. The design is executed in low relief on an irregular flan typical of hammered billon jitals of the Delhi Sultanate period. |
