Obverse description Humped bull (Nandi) depicted in left profile occupies the central field, rendered in a schematic yet vigorous style characteristic of Tomara coinage. The bull's hump, legs, and tail are delineated with bold strokes. Surrounding the central device, a Nagari legend is distributed around the field and periphery, reading 'Madhava Sri Samanta Deva'. The design is typically struck on an irregular flan, with moderate relief and the characteristic flat areas associated with hammered billon jitals of the Delhi region.
