Reverse description Three horizontal lines of Nagari (Devanagari) legend filling the reverse field, divided by two parallel ruled lines forming registers. The inscription reads 'Sri Pra / tapa Krishna / raya', identifying the issuing ruler Krishna Devaraya with his royal epithets. The lettering is boldly struck though somewhat irregular in execution, consistent with hammered copper coinage of the Vijayanagara Empire. The field is flat with no additional decorative elements.
