Reverse description The reverse depicts a frontal view of the Yellow Flower Mound Martyrs' Memorial (黄花岡烈士陵园) in Canton, shown as a tiered stone mausoleum surmounted by a sculptural group, flanked by ornamental pillars and an enclosing balustrade with steps leading to the entrance arch. Decorative floral branches appear to the left and right of the monument. Chinese characters arranged around the upper periphery within the beaded border read, in translation, 'Yellow Flower Mound commemorative coin, the 72 martyrs.' The design is finely engraved in moderate relief, conveying the architectural dignity of the memorial.
