| Obverse description | Central field occupied by an elaborate interlaced script monogram of the letters W and H, rendered in decorative calligraphic style with foliate flourishes and scrollwork at the terminals. A ducal crown surmounts the monogram, its arches and jewels rendered in fine relief. The overall design is unlettered, with the monogram and crown filling the plain field entirely. |
