Obverse description Within a beaded or plain inner circle, the conjoined initials H and A in Gothic lettering, referencing Herzog Albert (Duke Albert IV of Bavaria), surmounted by a semicircular arch. The design is struck on an irregular planchet typical of hammered coinage of the early sixteenth century, with the monogram centrally placed in the field.

Reverse description The Wittelsbach lozenge (fusily) shield, depicting the characteristic Bavarian bendy lozengy arms, enclosed within a square frame and an outer circle. The shield is rendered in a plain heraldic style consistent with early sixteenth-century hammered bracteate-type coinage of the Bavarian duchy, with the overall design occupying the majority of the irregular flan.
