Obverse description Central field displays a diamond-shaped (lozenge) frame enclosing a rectangular shield bearing horizontal bars, surmounted by a fleur-de-lis finial. Small decorative trefoil or floral ornaments appear at the left and right flanking points of the lozenge. The design is executed in a simple, bold relief typical of late medieval hammered billon coinage. The irregular flan shows no surrounding legend. The overall composition reflects the heraldic tradition of the Leuchtenberg landgravial house.
