Obverse description Central field bears the crowned oval arms of Saxony, displaying the barry of ten or and sable with a crancelin (rautenkranz) in bend, flanked by two crossed swords representing the Electoral sword-bearership. The shield is set within an ornate laurel and palm wreath. A large electoral bonnet crown surmounts the shield. No peripheral legend is present; the entire design is contained within a milled border.
