Obverse description Crowned oval shield adorned with a diamond-pattern wreath and flanked by foliate branches, centrally positioned within the square klippe flan. The date of issue is divided and appears at the lower portion of the design, one element on each side of the shield's base. The overall composition is rendered in a simple, utilitarian style characteristic of minor copper coinage of the period.

Reverse description The denomination is expressed in three horizontal lines of boldly struck Latin lettering within the square field, reading '* I *' above, 'H H' in the centre, and 'HELLER' below, with decorative rosette or star stops flanking the numeral. The border of the klippe flan features a continuous milled or rope-pattern edge decoration framing the entire reverse field. The design is stark and functional, consistent with the small-denomination copper coinage of the Duchy of Saxe-Hildburghausen.
