| Reverse description | The reverse field similarly bears a bold, multi-line Nasta'liq calligraphic inscription arranged in sweeping diagonal lines, recording the mint name Kanbayat (Cambay) and the regnal year of issue. A decorative floral rosette ornament is positioned prominently within the upper portion of the field, complementing lozenge-shaped dividers placed between the lines of text. The inscription states that the coin was struck at Kanbayat in the twelfth year of Jahangir's reign (jalus 12). The design is contained within a plain inner circle and an outer border of raised beads, consistent with the obverse treatment and the standard Mughal hammered coinage style. |
