Obverse description Central device depicts an upright open hand with fingers extended, the emblem of Schwäbisch Hall, set within a beaded inner circle. The hand is rendered in high relief in a bold, stylized medieval fashion characteristic of hammered bracteate-style coinage. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery within the outer border. The field surrounding the hand device shows typical irregular flan characteristics of 14th-century hammered silver coinage.
