Obverse description Within a serrated inner circle, a full-length standing effigy of Archduke Sigismund of Habsburg, attired in draped plate armor and wearing the Archduke's crown, bearing a scepter over his right shoulder and a sheathed sword in his left hand. Flanking the figure to the right is a crested helmet with mantling, and to the left a lion rampant supporting the coat of arms of Further Austria. A Gothic-script Latin legend encircles the periphery, with the restrike year appearing in the lower field. The overall composition reflects the heraldic and figural conventions of late fifteenth-century German Renaissance medallic art.
