Reverse description Quartered heraldic shield displaying the fourfold arms of the Archbishopric of Magdeburg and the personal arms of Albert of Brandenburg, with three smaller escutcheons arranged two above one in the center point. A cardinal's hat with pendant tassels and an archiepiscopal cross surmount the shield. The entire composition is set within a plain field enclosed by a circular Latin legend identifying the issuer. The heraldic rendering is characteristic of early sixteenth-century German ecclesiastical coinage.
