Reverse description A large crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed in high relief occupies the central field, its wings spread symmetrically and its two crowned heads facing outward to either side of the central imperial crown. The eagle's breast is unadorned, and the powerful rendering of its plumage reflects the accomplished die-cutting attributed to Hans Kraft the elder. A circular beaded border frames the device, with the continuous Latin legend of Emperor Charles V arranged around the periphery.
