Obverse description	Brown letterpress note with a fine guilloche underprint on cream paper. The title SURINAME appears at top centre, with ZILVERBON in large bold letters below and the denomination GROOT EEN GULDEN and numeral 1.00 at centre. Two manuscript signatures appear at lower left and right, attributed to the acting Administrator of Finance and the Governor of Suriname, above the legend WETTIG BETAALMIDDEL; a bottom panel carries the anti-counterfeiting warning text.
Obverse lettering	SURINAME ZILVERBON GROOT EEN GULDEN Wordt ter betaling aangenomen door de Surinaamsche Bank en aan alle Landskantoren. Inwisselbaar in zilver na aankondiging. Geregistreerd, 12 April 1918. De wnd. Administrateur van Financiën, De Gouverneur van Suriname, WETTIG BETAALMIDDEL Namaak of vervalsching is strafbaar met gevangenisstraf van ten hoogste negen jaren.
