| Obverse lettering | MARIA: DVCIS: GELREN` (Translation: Maria, Duchess of Gelderland) |
| Reverse description | Central design features two conjoined heraldic shields — those of Arnhem and Gelderland — displayed side by side within an elaborately cusped polylobe or multi-lobed Gothic frame, adorned with curvilinear foliage and floral decorative elements characteristic of 14th-century Low Countries goldsmiths' work. A fleur-de-lis surmounts the shields at the apex of the polylobe. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the surrounding Latin legend occupying the outer annulus in Gothic letterforms. |
