Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of Louis Napoleon, King of Holland, facing right, with curly hair rendered in neoclassical style. The truncation of the neck is plain and unadorned. A circular legend surrounds the portrait, reading LODEW. NAP. KON. VAN HOLL., running from lower left to lower right along the inner border. The field is flat and unadorned, with a fine beaded border encircling the entire design.

Reverse description Central shield bearing the quartered royal arms of the Kingdom of Holland, surmounted by a closed royal crown. The shield displays four quarters, each featuring heraldic charges including lions and eagles in a neoclassical engraving style. The denomination '1.' appears to the left of the shield and 'G.' to the right, flanking the arms. The legend KONINGRIJK HOLLAND runs along the periphery, divided left and right, while the date 1809 appears in the lower exergue below the shield, with a small mint or die mark visible at the very base.
