| Obverse description | Draped bust of Count Heinrich (Henry) of Solms-Braunfels facing right, wearing armour with a lace cravat, his long flowing wig rendered in high relief in the late Baroque manner. The effigy is set within a raised inner circle, with the circular legend surrounding it reading HENRICH GRAF ZU SOLMS, punctuated by a small star. The portrait is finely engraved with strong facial detail and naturalistic drapery characteristic of late 17th-century German coinage. |
