| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the crowned arms of West Friesland — a quartered shield bearing rampant lions — surmounted by an ornate floral crown. The date appears divided above the crown, while the denomination numerals (I) and value initial (G) flank the shield to the left and right respectively. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design within a beaded border, reading clockwise from the lower field. The overall style is characteristic of late Dutch Republic provincial coinage, struck on a hand-prepared planchet with typical irregular flan edges. |
