| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of Duke Bernhard II of Saxe-Meiningen facing left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curling hair and a small chin beard. The truncation is clean and unadorned. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait along the periphery, reading BERNHARD HERZOG ZU SACHSEN MEININGEN. The engraver's name HELFRICHT appears incuse at the base of the truncation. The coin is bordered by a continuous beaded rim. |
