Obverse description The upper half of the note is dominated by an intaglio vignette of the allegorical head of Austria wearing a mural crown, framed by elaborate acanthus scroll borders with guilloche medallions bearing the numeral "1" at upper left and right. The lower portion carries the imperial coat of arms of the Austrian Empire centered beneath the main text block, set against a pale rose-pink underprint.
