Reverse description Four crowned shields of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland arranged in cruciform pattern, separated by sceptres at the angles with a central ornamental rose at the intersection. The crowned shields are finely detailed, with the English lions, Scottish lion rampant, French fleurs-de-lis, and Irish harp each clearly delineated in their respective quarters. The date 1707 appears in the upper field between the Scottish and English shields, while the legend MAG • BRI • FR • ET • HIB • REG • runs around the periphery. The entire design is enclosed within a milled edge border with beaded inner rim.
