Reverse description A crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed in the field, its wings spread, with an imperial orb on the breast. The surrounding legend, partially legible on the irregular flan, attributes the piece to Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand III. The eagle's heads are each crowned and the plumage is rendered in the typical hammered style of mid-17th century German small coinage.
