Obverse description Bare-headed draped bust of Friedrich Wilhelm II, King of Prussia (1744–1797), facing right, with flowing queue tied at the nape. The portrait is rendered in a restrained late-Baroque style with fine detail in the hair and drapery at the truncation. The encircling Latin legend reads FRIDERICUS WILHELM⦁ BORUSS⦁ REX, separated from the effigy by a plain field with no inner border.

(Translation: Frederick Wilhelm (II) king of Prussia)
Reverse description At centre, a crowned oval shield bearing the Prussian black eagle displayed is set within a wreath of laurel and palm branches, tied at the base with a ribbon. The mint mark letter B appears below the wreath at the base. The circular Latin legend surrounding the wreath reads I⦁ GROSSUS BORUSS⦁ MERIDIONAL⦁ followed by the date, denoting one grossus of South (Meridional) Prussia. The royal crown surmounting the oval shield is prominently rendered with beaded detailing.
