| Reverse description | Two-line Latin inscription NOCET MINVS, the papal motto of Innocent XI meaning 'It does harm less', displayed in bold roman capital letters within a prominent baroque cartouche with elaborate scrolled and foliate decorative borders. The cartouche fills most of the reverse field and is framed by ornate volute scrollwork at top, sides, and base. The overall composition is typical of Papal States coinage of this period, with no additional legend outside the cartouche. A beaded border runs along the edge of the coin. |
