Reverse description Christ Pantocrator is depicted enthroned and facing, nimbate with a cross-bearing halo, his right hand raised in a gesture of benediction and his left hand holding the Gospels. The figure is set within a beaded inner circle and rendered in the Byzantine-influenced flat style characteristic of Venetian medieval coinage. Architectural throne elements are visible to either side of the enthroned Christ. The surrounding circular Latin legend reads • ✠ • TIBI • LAVS • ET • GLORIA •, a devotional acclamation meaning 'To Thee be praise and glory.'
