| Obverse description | Central field features the papal coat of arms of Clement XI displayed within an ornate cartouche, surmounted by the papal tiara and flanked by the crossed keys of Saint Peter, with elaborate foliate scroll decoration surrounding the shield. The papal arms display the Albani family heraldic devices beneath a six-pointed star. The circumferential legend is divided by pellets and reads around the full perimeter of the coin. The entire design is framed by a finely milled or toothed border. |
