| Obverse description | Central field displays the papal coat of arms of Clement XI (Giovanni Francesco Albani), featuring a shield charged with three hills surmounted by an eight-pointed star, all ensigned with the papal tiara and crossed keys. The shield is flanked by elaborate acanthus scrollwork. The circular Latin legend surrounding the design reads CLEM XI P M A XI, denoting Clement XI as Supreme Pontiff in his eleventh regnal year.
