| Obverse description | Draped bust of Pope Clement X facing right, wearing the pontifical camauro cap, rendered in low relief within a plain field. The effigy displays the pope's aged features with characteristic beard, the drapery of the papal vestments visible at the truncation. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, enclosed within a beaded border. A later suspension hole is visible at the top of the coin above the legend. |

| Additional information |
Clement X — born Emilio Altieri at age 79, the oldest man elected pope in the seventeenth century — reigned from 1670 to 1676, not from 1660. The date range as cataloged likely reflects the broader pontificate overlap with Clement IX, and attributions between the two reigns on this denomination are sometimes conflated in older references. Altieri's election was itself a compromise after a conclave deadlocked for five months.
