Reverse description A half-length facing effigy of the Elector Philip, turned slightly to the right, vested in electoral robes, holding a sword upright in his right hand and an orb in his left hand, emblematic of his dignity and authority. The figure is rendered in the late Gothic style characteristic of early 16th-century German silver coinage. The date 1504 appears at the end of the surrounding legend. The circular legend reads DEO. GLORIA. In., enclosed within a beaded border.
