Reverse description A quartered shield of the Brandenburg arms occupies the centre, set within a quadrilobe formed by four ornate Gothic cusped lobes arranged in a cross pattern, each lobe filled with foliate or architectural detail. Small decorative pellets appear between the lobes. The peripheral Latin legend MONETA * NOVA * FRANCFORDIE, separated by mullet stops, identifies this as a new coinage of Frankfurt (Oder), running around the entire circumference of the coin.
