Reverse description A cross fleuronnée with fleurs-de-lis terminating each arm, set within a quatrefoil (quatrolobe) border. At the intersections of the cross arms, the letters C, R, and V appear individually in the angles. The design is characteristic of the Islebener groschen tradition of the mid-fifteenth century. A circular legend in uncial Latin runs along the outer margin, identifying the mint city of Eisleben.
