Obverse description A cross with ornate floral terminals centered within a quatrefoil frame, with alphabetic letters placed at the outer corners between the lobes. A circular legend in Latin uncial script surrounds the entire design, running along the coin's periphery.

Reverse description A lion passant facing sinister (left) occupies the central field, rendered in the Gothic style characteristic of Meissen coinage. A Gothic letter 'b' appears to the left of the lion, with a ring device positioned to the left of the lion's head and a second ring at the terminus of the tail's curvature. The composition is typical of the Meissen Groschen series attributed to the reign of Frederick the Warlike.
