Frederick Casimir of Teschen ruled the small Silesian duchy of Bielsko as a Protestant enclave during a period when the Habsburgs were tightening confessional control across the region. His brief coinage — running only a few years in the late 1560s into 1571 — reflects the financial autonomy smaller Silesian princes still exercised under the Bohemian crown before that independence was progressively curtailed. The Friedensburg references distinguish at least two die variants within this narrow emission window, suggesting more than one production phase despite the short span.
