| Obverse description | King Peter I enthroned facing, depicted in full regalia, holding an upright sword in his right hand and an orb or sceptre in his left; a shield bearing the arms of Cyprus (a lion rampant) is displayed to the lower right of the throne. The figure is rendered in the Gothic style typical of Lusignan coinage. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the royal Latin legend arranged around the periphery. |
