Reverse description A bold long cross pattée extending to the coin's beaded border divides the reverse field into four quarters, each containing one of the component shields of the Burgundian composite arms: the fleur-de-lis of France, the diagonal band of Burgundy, the lion of Flanders, and the lion of Brabant. The cross arms are broad and well-defined, characteristic of the hammered groot type. A two-line circular legend in Gothic uncial script surrounds the cross, divided by the cross arms, reading the standard Psalm-derived benediction.
