Obverse description Facing crowned effigy of King Henry VII, rendered in the characteristic three-quarter portrait style of the period, set within a double polylobe border with fleurs-de-lis at the cusps. The king is depicted wearing a closed crown, with hair falling to either side of the face and vestments visible at the shoulders. The surrounding legend is divided by cross stops and rendered in Lombardic uncial lettering. The portrait reflects the innovative facing bust type introduced during Henry VII's later coinage, marking a significant departure from earlier profile busts.
