| Obverse description | Facing crowned bust of King Henry VII, depicted with long flowing hair falling to either side and a plain crown atop his head, rendered in the late medieval English style characteristic of the facing portrait groats. The king's effigy is shown in a frontal, slightly stylized manner, occupying the central field of the flan. A surrounding beaded inner circle frames the portrait. The circular legend, separated by cross stops, runs around the periphery of the coin in late Gothic uncial lettering. |

| Reverse description | Standard late medieval English voided long cross extending to the coin's edge, dividing the reverse into four quarters, each containing three pellets arranged in a triangular pattern, for a total of twelve pellets. The cross terminates at the inner beaded circle and is flanked by the mint name and the pious legend in late Gothic uncial lettering, reading in segments within the four quarters of the outer field. The overall design follows the long-established English groat reverse type. |
