Obverse description Crowned facing bust of Henry VI within a cusped tressure of nine arches, with a lis at each cusp. The king is depicted with a stylized frontal visage characteristic of the Pinecone-mascle issue, wearing a crown with prominent fleurs-de-lis. The mintmark appears at 12 o'clock above the crown, serving as a privy mark identifying the emission period. The surrounding annulet legend is rendered in Gothic blackletter script with characteristic abbreviation marks.
