Obverse lettering + HENRIC`. DEIx GRA`.x REXx ANGL`. Z FRANC
(Translation: Henry by the Grace of God King of England and France)
Reverse description A long cross pattée extending to the coin's edge, dividing the reverse into four quarters, each containing a trefoil of three pellets arranged in a triangular formation. Two concentric circles of Latin legend surround the central cross design, with the inner legend containing the devotional phrase and the outer legend naming the mint city. The overall composition follows the standard English groat reverse type established in the late fourteenth century, with the pellet trefoils serving as a distinguishing feature of the Henry IV Light coinage issue.
