Obverse description Draped bust of Philip IV of Spain facing left, rendered in low relief typical of hammered coinage. The effigy occupies the central field with minimal detail due to the crude striking technique characteristic of Neapolitan copper issues of this period. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust, incorporating the regnal title and the date. The flan is irregular in shape, consistent with hand-struck production at the Naples mint in the early seventeenth century.
