Obverse description Armored bust of Wolfgang William of Pfalz-Neuburg facing right, rendered in the late Renaissance style, set within a beaded inner circle with the date below the effigy at the base. The outer legend, divided by the ruler's head at top, reads in abbreviated Latin titulature. The portrait displays characteristic flowing hair and plate armor detailing typical of early seventeenth-century German goldgulden coinage.
