Obverse description Armored bust of Duke Philip Julius facing right, set within an inner beaded circle, with long flowing hair and a prominent ruff collar. The date numerals '6' and '11' appear flanking the bust in the field, representing the last digits of the issue years 1609–1611. The surrounding legend reads PHILIPPUS IULIUS D G D S P in Latin characters, identifying the ruler as Philip Julius by the grace of God Duke of Stettin-Pomerania. The portrait is rendered in the late Renaissance hammered style typical of early seventeenth-century German principality coinage.
