Reverse description Central large pointed quadrefoil (vesica-shaped) enclosing a composite heraldic shield, quarterly divided and bearing the arms of the Archbishopric of Trier. Four smaller heraldic shields are placed in the corners of the quadrefoil, displaying the arms of associated territories, including those identifiable as Cologne (cross), Bavaria (lozengy), and Ziegenhain (lion). Star-shaped ornaments separate the legend elements in the surrounding field. The encircling legend in uncial Gothic lettering reads: MON NOV WESALI, denoting the new coinage of Wesel.
