Obverse description Central quartered shield displaying the combined arms of the Archbishop and the Archbishopric of Salzburg, with the date divided across the upper field. A small escutcheon bearing the Keutschach family device (a turnip) is placed at the center of the quarterly shield. The entire armorial composition is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A Gothic uncial legend surrounds the shield in the outer field, reading the archbishop's name and title.
