Reverse description A large ornate heraldic shield at center displays the quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Cologne, incorporating the arms of Cologne (silver cross on black), the electoral cross, the lion of the counts of Arnsberg, and additional quarterings associated with Archbishop Hermann V of Wied. The shield is surmounted by an electoral hat and flanked by side escutcheons. A trefoil or quatrefoil arch frames the composition. The date appears in the upper field, with the circular Latin monetary legend distributed around the periphery.
