Reverse description A cross of Cologne occupies the center of the design, with a small shield bearing the arms of Wied superimposed at its center. The cross is set within a trefoil composed of three rounded lobes, each lobe containing a small heraldic shield of arms. The date appears within the surrounding legend. The overall composition follows the standard late-medieval Rhenish Goldgulden reverse type, with the trefoil frame enclosing the quartered field and subsidiary armorial devices.
