Reverse description Central imperial orb surmounted by a cross, set within a pointed trilobe frame, the whole executed in bold relief against a plain field. The orb symbolizes Holy Roman imperial authority, and the trilobe border is typical of Rhenish goldgulden typology. The surrounding circular legend in Latin records the titles of Emperor Rudolf II, with pellet stops separating the words. The coin image shown appears to be the reverse side, consistent with this description.
