Reverse description A quartered coat of arms occupying the central field, divided by a plain cross into four quarters, each bearing the heraldic devices of the Reuss lordships: a lion rampant in the upper left quarter, a crane or stork in the upper right quarter, and two further rampant lions in the lower quarters, all executed in the bold relief characteristic of hammered gold coinage of the early seventeenth century. Elaborate foliate scrollwork ornaments the spaces between the shield and the surrounding legend. The date 1619 is incorporated within the circular Latin inscription that borders the reverse field.
