Obverse description Two adjacent heraldic shields arranged side by side, the Bamberg arms to the left and the Limpurg arms to the right, surmounted by a crown. The circular legend reads MONE. AVR. GEORGI. EPI. BAMBE followed by the date 1507, terminating at the end of the inscription. The design is executed in the late Gothic style typical of early sixteenth-century German episcopal coinage.
